Overview:
DecisionPoint Corporation is seeking a System Administrator to join our USAF Air Mobility Command Global Decision Support System (GDSS) Functional Help Desk Team. The System Administrator Level I is responsible for supporting and maintaining the organization's computer systems, ensuring that systems are installed, configured, and monitored according to organizational security policies. This role includes providing first-level troubleshooting for system and application errors, performing routine backups, and ensuring system availability to end-users. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of IT systems, network environments, and security protocols.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Organize, install, and support the organization’s computer systems and servers.
Build, configure, and install client and server systems.
Ensure systems comply with organizational security policies.
Monitor system performance and initiate resolution steps for identified errors or performance degradation.
Perform system and data backups and test them for viability in case of disasters or outages.
Troubleshoot system and application errors and assist in restoring service to users.
Provide first-level support to end-users for IT system issues.
Qualifications:
Active Secret Clearance
Minimum of 2 years of experience in system administration or a related IT role.
High School Diploma or Equivalent with functional/technical experience and appropriate certifications.
Basic understanding of system administration, networking, and security policies.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
