AWS Database Specialist
Phoenix, AZ (Hybrid)

Solugenix is assisting a client, a financial services company, in their search for a AWS Database Specialist. This is a 12-month contract opportunity based out of Phoenix, AZ (Hybrid).
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience with AWS database services and management.
AWS Certified Database Specialty or related certification.
Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
Experience with database performance tuning and optimization techniques.
Familiarity with database security best practices and compliance standards.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain AWS database solutions, including Amazon RDS, Amazon Aurora, DynamoDB, and Redshift.
Monitor database performance and optimize queries, indexes, and configurations for improved efficiency.
Ensure data integrity, security, and backup strategies are in place and regularly tested.
Collaborate with development teams to create database schemas, stored procedures, and other database objects.
Troubleshoot database issues and provide timely resolutions to ensure minimal downtime.
Perform regular database maintenance, including updates, migrations, and scaling as needed.
Develop and maintain documentation related to database architecture, procedures, and best practices.
Stay current with AWS database services and industry trends to provide innovative solutions.
Pay Range for CA, CO, IL, NJ, NY, WA, and DC: $65/hour to $65/hour. Starting rate of pay offered may vary depending on factors including but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
