Overview:
Abile Group has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Enterprise Print System Administrator on a 10 year contract providing User Facing and Data Center Services supporting an Intelligence Community customer. All the personnel on the team will work together to support innovative design, engineering, procurement, implementation, operations, sustainment and disposal of user facing and data center information technology (IT) services on multiple networks and security domains, at multiple locations worldwide, to support the IC mission.

 

The right candidate will possess the below skills and qualifications and be ready to handle all responsibilities independently and professionally.

Responsibilities:
Designs, implements, and maintains Windows print server infrastructure 

Manages print queues, drivers, and printer deployments across the organization 

Troubleshoots complex printing issues and provide timely resolutions 

Configures and maintains print security policies and access controls 

Monitors print server performance and implement optimizations 

Plans and executes print server upgrades and migrations 

Implements print accounting and monitoring solutions 

Develops and maintains documentation for print server configurations and processes 

Collaborates with network and system teams to ensure print infrastructure aligns with overall IT strategy 

Provides training and support to end-users on printing best practices 

Manages vendor relationships for printer hardware and software 

Qualifications:
Clearance Required: TS/SCI Clearance with eligibility to obtain CI Poly 

 

Degree and Years of Experience: Bachelor's degree in IT or related field, or equivalent experience

5+ years of experience in Windows server administration, with a focus on print services

Required Certifications:

Security+ certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire  

Required Skills:

Strong knowledge of Windows Server operating systems and print management 

Experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy as it relates to printer deployment 

Familiarity with TCP/IP networking and printer protocols 

Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve complex printing issues

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment 

Willingness to provide occasional after-hours support for critical print infrastructure 

Desired Skills: 

Experience with enterprise print management software (e.g., PaperCut, PrinterLogic) 

Knowledge of print security best practices and compliance requirements 

Familiarity with scripting for automated printer deployment (PowerShell, VBScript) 

Experience with cloud-based printing solutions 

Understanding of print output management and pull printing concepts 

Familiarity with various printer hardware brands and models 

Physical Requirements: 

Ability to lift and move equipment up to 40 pounds
