Overview:
The primary role of a Technical Functional Analyst is to bridge the gap between technical teams (such as developers and IT professionals) and business stakeholders. These individuals play a crucial role in ensuring that technology solutions align with the business requirements and objectives of an organization. This role involves a combination of technical MES knowledge and an understanding of business processes.
Responsibilities:
Work to gain an understanding of the functional capabilities of the various MES platforms
Gather and document their requirements to create a functional design.
Collaborates with a Technical Lead to translate the functional designs into technical specifications.
Act as a bridge between our customer business/manufacturing stakeholders and technical development teams.
When issues or conflicts arise during the development process, the analyst helps identify solutions that align with both business requirements and technical feasibility.
Will perform 'hands on' configuration platforms.
Oversee testing strategy and execution to ensure that the software or system functions as intended.
Thorough documentation of requirements and design decisions is a critical aspect of this role.
Help manage changes to the software or system.
Will be responsible for facilitating training strategy and oversight of training and support to end-users.
Technical Functional Analysts often participate in post-implementation reviews to identify areas for improvement in future projects.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or Higher Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or technical related field
Experience working in manufacturing environments in consulting or project deployment
Strong leadership, communication and presentation skills
Strong team player and creative thinking skills for providing innovative solutions
Ability to work across time zones and cultures
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in deploying software projects to manufacturing
Lean and Six Sigma knowledge
Functional/ Business Analyst Experience
Previous hands-on experience with common MES low-code / no-code platforms.
