Marathon TS is currently hiring for a TS/SCI Cleared Systems Administrator (Operations 24x7 Support) to join our team in support of our intelligence customer in St. Louis, MO.

HOW A SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR (OPERATIONS 24X7 SUPPORT) WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Position Summary:

Shift Hours: Wednesdays - Saturdays 5:30PM - 5:30AM (with alternating Wednesdays off)

The Systems Administrator (Operations 24x7 Support) is responsible for delivering, supporting and providing first-level network and IT infrastructure event monitoring and event management in a 24 x 7 large-scale network, system, application, service and business activity network operations environment located both on premise and in the cloud. The Systems Administrator (Operations 24x7 Support) is also responsible for comparing and correlating events from multiple sources, maintaining accurate incident records, and initiating appropriate actions to avoid or minimize loss of IT services. . Additionally, this role is responsible for establishing, managing and maintaining standards, monitoring, and security items related to infrastructure. This position involves the deployment and support of the tools the company uses to monitor the network, systems and applications. This position requires familiarity with the network architecture and with supported applications within the Data Center environment.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Major Responsibilities and Duties Responsibilities:

•Infrastructure monitoring and validation of infrastructure components

•Infrastructure security monitoring, validation, and log review activities across all infrastructure elements

•Responsible for server configurations, monitoring, and security of physical and virtual servers and related infrastructure

•Responsible for network configuration and compliance monitoring of cloud-based systems

•Provide support and management of backup, disaster recovery, and related applications

•Accurately log, ticket, and own/escalate incidents resulting from infrastructure events.

•Provide accurate, timely, and professional documentation on all supported issues.

•Provide a high level of professionalism and customer service.

•Follow up on all incidents in a timely and professional manner.

•Quickly identify and escalate high-priority issues.

•Accurately triage/assign/escalate tickets per standard operating procedures.

•Efficiently and accurately, resolve all assigned incidents.

•Identify and document incident resolution and support knowledge.

•Complete all assigned duties in a timely and accurate manner.

•Adhere to the schedule and have dependable attendance.

•Maintain documentation

•Interacts with users on a daily basis to assist with functionality and provide situational awareness of ongoing issues.

•Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned

•Participates in special projects as required

Position Requirement of Knowledge & Skills:

•Technically competent in server administration (Windows/Linux)

•Knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in sever (virtual & physical), network, database, cloud services, storage system administration and support.

•Knowledge of related hardware and software i.e. Server (Physical/Virtual), Operations systems (Windows OS 2012/2016, Unix/Linux), Cisco, and Microsoft products.

•Knowledge of basic networking principles (routing, DNS, etc.) and/or system administration (perfmon, services, software installation, etc.) desired.

•Must be knowledgeable/capable of effectively using common network monitoring techniques and tools (i.e. BMC BEM/SIM/BPPM, Client NNM, CA eHealth, Splunk, Nagios etc. Splunk) and ITSM suites (ServiceNow, Remedy) desired

•Excellent communication, customer service, time management, conflict resolution, and problem determination/resolution skills are a must

•Ability to handle multiple complex task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment

•Ability to adapt quickly to changes in priority

•Strong analytical skills and ability to think critically that facilitate expedient problem solving

•Must be able to work in a stressful environment

Education & Work Experience:

•AA/AS Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field/equivalent experience preferred

•Relevant technical certifications preferred (A+, Network+, Server Administration, etc.)

•Security + (REQUIRED)

•Familiar with ITIL (certification preferred)
