Responsibilities:
The Lead Echo Tech is responsible for both supervisory and testing duties in the Cardiology department. The Lead Echo Tech shall perform at the level of an Echo Tech II and shall be able to perform transthoracic and transesophogeal echocardiograms, echos on neonates/pediatrics, as well as participate in the sonography portion of a dobutamine stress echo.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
Graduate of an accredited two (2) year Cardiovascular / Echo Program.
ECG certification.
RDCS – Adult required, pediatric preferred.
Must have five (5) years hospital experience. (Performing all Echocardiography procedures).
Must have two (2) years in lead or higher position.
Must have two (2) years active pediatric experience.
BLS required.
