The Software Engineer for Cell DIVE will work with a small development team responsible for creating, expanding, and supporting the existing codebase using WPF/WCF.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop .NET WPF/WCF software used in the image acquisition and post-processing steps of biological fluorescent imaging workflows.
• Support existing code fixing defects looking for opportunities to refactor and optimize.
• Support tech debt discussions and implementation.
• Work with image acquisition systems including capture, manipulation, and optimization of image data.
• Help the team to improve the technical quality of their work through regular technical design and code reviews.
• Participate in an Agile environment contributing to the entire SDLC process.
Who You Are:
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or in "STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
• Minimum of 3 years of Software Development experience architecting and maintaining thin/thick clients and API's
• Strong technical contributor with a proven track record of using your expertise to help the team
• Extensive experience with .NET, .NET Core, C#, Visual Studio
• Extensive experience with WCF, WPF, MVVM, MEF
• Must be willing to work out of an office located in Bellevue, WA
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required
Desired Characteristics:
• Experience with databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc)
• Experience working with version control systems (SVN, git, github, SourceTree, etc)
• Experience working with Microsoft VisualStudio development environment
• Takes the initiative to experiment with new software frameworks
• Demonstrates the ability to creatively find solutions
• Contributes to the team and works independently
