Overview:
Bowhead seeks a new team member to support the Navy’s Hypersonics and Weapons Systems Integration division. Bowhead seeks a Software Developer with C++ experience to develop and maintain software systems modeling effects of weapons against threat systems.
Responsibilities:
Provide software development, modification, production and maintenance of both threat system and weapon system modeling libraries.
Work closely across software engineers to develop and test rapid prototype systems using an Agile development method.
Support and develop test procedures to test system functionality and generate software troubleshoot reports.
Prepare documentation and support configuration management guidelines.

Qualifications:
A Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline is preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge of college math (three dimensional Calculus, Physics, Differential Equations) is preferred.
15 years of professional technical experience with C++ with specialized experience performing software design, coding and compilation of code; computer or software requirements management, and computer systems or software integration is preferred.
Experience related to weapons systems and/or Navy programs and C# are a plus.
Experience with Git and Jira, and unit testing preferred.
Continuous Integration experience including code coverage, static/dynamic analysis, and automated build processes preferred.
Ability to work independently and interface professionally with other government agencies, contractors, military personnel.
Ability to define task details, estimates, and schedules.
Ability to work in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team
Physical Demands:
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds
Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold an active Secret Clearance. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
