Job Description:
Our direct client is seeking a Scrum Master for a 12-month contract-to-hire opportunity with their Newark, NJ location.
Responsibilities:
Ensures the team(s) lives Agile values and principles and follow the processes and practices that they agreed-upon to deliver the committed solutions
Responsible for promoting and supporting Agile principles by helping everyone understand applied theories, practices, rules, and value
True servant leader who serves the team(s) and larger organization
Supports those outside the aligned team(s) to understand which of their interactions with the team(s) are effective and which aren't; helps everyone change these interactions to improve the value built by the Agile team
Supports all aspect of risk management and impediment resolution
Basic Qualifications
Familiarity and expertise with Agile principles and frameworks, including story writing and estimation, facilitation, and identification and implementation of continuous improvement (CI)
Experience working and proficiency in performing the role of Scrum Master
Expertise in facilitation and tracking of Objectives & Key Results (OKRs), prioritization, backlog refinement, and specialty workshops.
Proven capabilities in: (i) delivery, (ii) reporting and metrics, (iii) Agile toolchains (Jira, Jira Align, Miro, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
Certified Scrum Master certification
Experience in serving as a Scrum Master within the financial services industry on multiple teams
