Short Description:
System Specialist 3
Will be required to be onsite Columbus, minimum of 3 days a week.
Complete Description:
This position will function as a highly skilled SS3 with specific responsibilities that include:
•Primarily responsible for reviewing field collected roadway characteristics data for HPMS and MIRE Data Collection project.
•Analyze, edit and update collected data.
•Conduct quality control checks to ensure data accuracy
•Analyzing data for trends that may affect data quality
•Utilize source data such as aerial imagery, PathWeb, and street view
•Adhere to agency data standards
•Coordinate with vendor to identify and correct data discrepancies
Required Knowledge, Skills, Competencies:

Must be knowledgeable in the English language and be able to speak
clearly and understandably
·
4-year college degree or equivalent technical study
·
Perform accurate data production, including reviewing data for
completeness and accuracy, identifying and correcting errors or omissions in
the data
·
Strong grasp of the fundamental principles, methods, and
procedures used in data acquisition, management, analysis, and visualization in
a GIS environment
·
Able to utilize appropriate software tools and procedures to process
and analyze data
·
Experience working with the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel,
Outlook, Word)
·
Strong communication and oral and written skills. Possess strong
meeting and work session skills
·
Can work independently and as part of a team, the ability to
manage time and resources to meet assigned deadlines
·
Have excellent organizational skills, proven analytical, planning,
problem solving, and decision-making skills
Demonstrate proven experience in troubleshooting with little supervision
Desired Qualifications:
•Knowledge of transportation system (roadway attributes / network)
•Experience in Roadway Data collection and processing
•ESRI ArcPro
•Linear Referencing Systems knowledge helpful.
