Network Engineer I
Job Summary
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and attention to detail. This individual must work well on a team as well as individually.

Responsibilities:
Essential Functions:

• Assists and supports the team in implementing enterprise networks both on-premises and in the cloud.
• Support the evaluation, design, implementation, troubleshooting, analysis, and maintenance of LAN, WAN, IPsec VPN, and cloud networks.
• Assists in the design and deployment of functional, secure networks both in the cloud and on-premises (LAN, WAN, load balancing, firewall, IPS/IDS).
• Monitors network performance and integrity.
• Configures, tests, and maintains network equipment and related services.
• Maintains comprehensive technical documentation for all implemented networks.
• Suggests improvements to network performance, capacity, and scalability.
• Identifies, diagnoses, and troubleshoots network issues.
• Assesses and upgrades enterprise networks.
• Works closely with infrastructure teams and end users across the enterprise.
• Maintains regular and predictable attendance for assigned shifts.
• Adheres to all organizational policies and procedures.
• Provides day-to-day support for the overall network infrastructure.

Qualifications:
Competencies 
• Proven ability to organize and prioritize diverse, multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
• Computer literate with experience in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Desire to learn all aspects of the Tolling area.
• Desire to be part of a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
• Possess a "can-do" positive attitude.
• Focused on task completion.
• Willing to participate in on-call rotation.
• Some travel required for training, team building, site surveys, etc.
  Required Education and Experience
 Network+, CCENT, CCNA, or equivalent certification preferred. Certifications may be expired if skills can be demonstrated.
 Preferred Education and Experience
Applicable work experience is highly valued. Familiarity with communication protocols (such as TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VPN) is desirable.Familiarity with cloud networking, Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, F5 Load Balancers, Meraki wireless, access control models, and network security is a plus.
