Description:
Markon’s partner company is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our technology-based program supporting a key IC Government customer.

Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain applications using Eclipse, GitHub, DevOps tools, Java, and Python.

Conduct security reviews of applications and infrastructure to ensure compliance.

Participate in agile activities and collaborate effectively with the engineering team.

Utilize Bash scripting for automation tasks and build out CI/CD processes for development to production environments.

Research and implement new technologies in object-oriented programming.

Manage and deploy cloud-based services to support application infrastructure.

Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on best practices.

Automate infrastructure using technologies like Docker and Vagrant.

Implement build automation tools like Maven and Jenkins.

Develop and maintain APIs and services using REST and SOAP protocols.

Create and maintain scripts using languages like Perl and Shell.

Qualifications:
Required Skills:

A bachelor’s or master’s degrees in computer science are preferred with a minimum of three (3) year’s relevant experience.

2+ Years of experience participating in agile activities.

3+ years of recent Java or Python experience

Experience in security reviews of applications and infrastructure.

Experience with Bash Scripting

Ability to assist with build out of CI/CD process for development to production environments.

Research new technologies in object-oriented programming.

Experience in Cloud based services.

Works well in an engineering team environment with other teammates who varied skills levels.

Ability to mentor others

Desired Skills:

Experience with infrastructure automation technologies like Docker, Vagrant, etc.

Experience with build automation technologies like Maven, Jenkins, etc.

Experience with building APIs and services using REST, SOAP, etc.

Experience with scripting languages like Perl, Shell, etc.

Salary Range:
