Summary: 

 

The IT Operations Technology Engineer administers and supports global Operations Technology (OT) equipment, services, processes and, software within on-premises and cloud infrastructure environments for CECO Environmental Corp.  This is an IT Enterprise production support position, and as such, off-hours critical systems/emergency support will be expected to support business continuity requirements.  The IT Operations Technology Engineer will work closely with other IT teams and stakeholders to ensure compliance with security policies, standards, and best practices.  

  

Your Responsibilities Will Be: 

Supports the administration and management of 2D and 3D Engineering applications such as Ansys and AutoCAD for Engineering groups across CECO’s global landscape.

Supports the administration of Windows Active Directory, Windows servers, groups policies, etc. 

Installs and maintains Engineering applications on clients and servers in the support of CECO’s global engineering initiatives. 

Collaborates with the IT Procurement Specialist to ensure Engineering applications are properly licensed, globally consolidated, and centrally managed  

Works with plant engineering to implement and manage Machine automation/Nesting Software such as SigmaNEST or FastCAM. 

Works with IT leadership and the IT Procurement Specialist to consolidate engineering applications and associated licensing whenever possible, while ensuring that CECO’s engineering platforms are optimized to support customer needs. 

Supports engineering users for engineering software-related issues globally. 

Participates in the diagnosis and issue resolution process, including determination and provision of workaround solutions or escalation where necessary. 

Assists with implementation and monitor management information systems’ policies and controls within the CECO IT environment to ensure data accuracy, security, and legal and regulatory compliance. 

Installs new equipment, administers software upgrades and patches to engineering services, manages Active Directory, DNS< FTP and web servers and related facilities including login servers, mail relays, directory and list servers, web servers and proxy servers within cloud and on -premises data centers. 

Identifies and raises technical risks. 

Works with third-party and contracted resources under the guidance of the Director of Infrastructure & Operations to ensure services provided are within budget and schedule requirements. 

Complies with all IT and Information Security policies and procedures; assist with audit requests as required. 

This job description represents only the primary areas of responsibility; specific position assignments will vary depending on the needs of the department. 

  

Required Qualifications: 

 BS degree in Computer Science, or related field or 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in an infrastructure environment. 

3-5 years of experience managing engineering applications in an enterprise environment. 

Experience managing and administering Microsoft computing environments (server and workstation).

The job is typically performed under comfortable working conditions; any disagreeable elements are generally absent during normal performance of job.  Visits to our manufacturing facility and suppliers’ facilities is required to monitor active projects and address design issues.
