Overview:
The Student Outcomes and Data Specialist at Touro University Nevada College of Osteopathic Medicine will be responsible for analyzing, reporting, and managing data related to student performance and outcomes.  The role requires proficiency in standard statistical methods as well as multivariate analysis techniques and predictive analytics to derive actionable insights from complex data sets.

Responsibilities:
Data Analysis and Reporting:

Perform data analysis using appropriate statistical methods

Perform multivariate analysis and other advanced statistical techniques to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.

Utilize predictive analytics to forecast student outcomes and identify areas needing intervention

Prepare detailed reports and presentations on student outcomes for internal and external stakeholders.

Develop and maintain dashboards to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to student success.

Analyze student outcomes for clinical rotations and residency placement data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement

Data Management:

Collect, clean, and maintain data from various sources, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.

Manage databases and ensure the secure storage and accessibility of data.

Implement data governance best practices to maintain high-quality data standards.

Outcome Assessment:

Design and conduct outcome assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of academic programs and interventions.

Collaborate with faculty and administration to develop assessment tools and methodologies.

Provide actionable insights based on assessment results to enhance student learning and program quality.

Develop predictive models using student data to support desired outcomes

Support for Accreditation and Compliance:

Assist in preparing data and reports required for accreditation processes (e.g. Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation (COCA), Middle States) and compliance with regulatory bodies.

Ensure that all data reporting meets the standards and requirements of accrediting agencies (COCA and Middle States).

Collaborative Projects:

Work with faculty, staff, and administration to support data-driven initiatives and projects.

Provide expertise in statistical analysis and data interpretation to support research and grant applications.

Training and Support:

Train faculty and staff on data management practices, assessment tools, and the interpretation of data reports.

Provide technical support for data-related software and systems.

Continuous Improvement:

Stay updated on the latest developments in data analysis, biostatistics, and educational assessment.

Continuously seek opportunities to improve data processes, tools, and methodologies.

Contributes to team effort by performing other duties as needed/assigned

Qualifications:
Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Mathematics, Statistics or a related field required

Advanced Degree in Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology or a related field is preferred.

Experience:              

Demonstrated experience in data analysis, reporting and management

Proficiency in multivariate analysis and other advanced statistical techniques

Experience in an educational or healthcare setting preferred

Skills & Abilities:      

Proficiency in statistical software and data analysis tools (e.g. SPSS, SAS, R, STATA or similar).

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Knowledge of database management and data governance best practices

Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

Excellent communication skills.

Must have excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to understand, assess, and use appropriate professional judgment.

Demonstrated initiative in being proactive, anticipating needs, and implementing effective action plans.

Requires the ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and perform assignments accurately.
