IT Business Operations Analyst
Seeking the following Top Skills.
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and processes is helpful; willingness and ability to learn high level department budgeting and accounting processes is required
• Familiarity with IT department and project management, preferred
• Ability to manage multiple priorities
MINIMUM EDUCATION:
Associates or Bachelors degree from an accredited institution or equivalent industry experience
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
2+ years of professional experience in an administrative, coordinator, analytical, or comparable role.
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The IT Business Operations Analyst will assist the IT management team with running the business of the department. This includes having a general understanding of the IT organization, budgets, and department goals in order to assist with financial and cross-team processes and deliverables. For example, this role will accurately and timely process invoices – reviewing for accuracy, assigning GL codes, and working with the team for approvals before sending to accounts payable. This role will also work on ad hoc projects that could include org chart updates, reporting and analysis, project coordination, and process improvement.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following duties are essential to the successful and satisfactory performance of this job. Other duties may be assigned.
Primary responsibility will be to review and process IT invoices; includes reviewing, coding, routing for approval, partnering with Accounts Payable and suppliers as needed.
Support IT leaders in general business activities that could include org chart updates, financial analysis, process implementation and improvement, project coordination.
Participate in ad hoc projects and initiatives that support the goals of the IT department and the company.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
Basic knowledge of accounting principles and processes is helpful; willingness and ability to learn high level department budgeting and accounting processes is required
Familiarity with IT department and project management, preferred
Ability to manage multiple priorities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Good excel skills; also skilled with other Microsoft apps such as Word, PowerPoint, Teams
Able to learn new software systems, e.g. SmartSheet
Able to track and mitigate issues and risks to meeting deadlines, escalating appropriately
Ability to work independently when needed, but also work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment focused on common goals
