Job Description: IT Project Manager

The Project Manager plays a key role in supporting senior management to achieve both technical and business objectives through a blend of technical expertise, research experience, business acumen, and effective project management practices. The primary responsibilities include planning, initiating, and overseeing Information Technology (IT) projects while serving as the primary liaison for employees, subcontractors, partners, and clients throughout the engagement.

Responsibilities

" Project Planning: Outline project phases and assess the business implications associated with each stage.

" Progress Monitoring: Oversee project timelines to ensure compliance with deadlines, quality standards, and budgetary goals.

" Implementation Coordination: Manage the execution of enterprise infrastructure design, build, and migration projects.

" Performance Tracking: Regularly communicate project performance metrics (timelines, costs, resources, and risks) to clients.

" Client Management: Set and manage client expectations throughout project lifecycles and prepare weekly/monthly status updates.

" Project Management Tools: Utilize software such as MS Project for effective project management.

" Team Collaboration: Work closely with KNZ engineers and subcontractors to clarify project variables and requirements.

" Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and inefficiencies, providing actionable recommendations for resolution.

" Contingency Planning: Prepare for contingencies to ensure project deliverables are met consistently.

" Process Improvement: Integrate process improvement and change management strategies into project planning.

" Quality Assurance: Draft quality assurance (QA) specifications to evaluate and ensure client acceptance of project deliverables.

Requirements

" A minimum of 3 years of experience managing complex IT projects.

" Proven experience in infrastructure project management is preferred, ideally with a consulting background.

" Relevant experience in IT-based project management.

" Ability to effectively communicate and lead teams while also working independently and recommending business strategies.

" Willingness to travel occasionally to support assigned projects and initiatives.

" Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
