Position Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Analytics and Business Intelligence Specialist to create and implement data-driven strategies aimed at enhancing our Financial Crimes operations. This role will focus on transforming the function from a reactive to a proactive and predictive approach. You will analyze extensive financial crime data to spot trends, generate actionable insights, and assist in decision-making for senior management, the Board, and law enforcement agencies. Your contributions will be vital in strengthening our ability to predict and prevent financial crime.
Main Responsibilities:
Develop and implement advanced analytical solutions to identify trends and patterns within financial crime data.
Deliver actionable insights to leadership and law enforcement to enhance the detection and prevention of financial crimes.
Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and visual data representations to track key metrics and performance indicators.
Work alongside the Financial Crimes team to ensure effective data usage for strategic decision-making.
Apply predictive analytics to foresee financial crime risks and bolster the organization's proactive detection capabilities.
Collaborate with IT, compliance, and risk teams to maintain data integrity and consistency across financial crime systems.
Stay abreast of new trends and technologies in financial crime analytics and suggest innovative strategies to improve our capabilities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in data science, business analytics, computer science, or a related discipline (Master's degree preferred).
3+ years of relevant experience in business intelligence or data analytics, ideally within the financial services or financial crime compliance sectors.
Strong command of data analytics tools such as SQL, Python, R, and business intelligence platforms like Tableau or Power BI.
Familiarity with predictive modeling and machine learning techniques is advantageous.
Ability to interpret complex data and convert it into clear, actionable recommendations.
Exceptional attention to detail along with strong analytical skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the capacity to collaborate effectively across various teams.
Technical Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and capable of quickly adapting to internal software systems.
