Network Administrator Advisor

HOW A NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR ADVISOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
? Manages the functionality and efficiency of computer networks (LAN/WAN). Monitors data traffic/network performance and controls network resource performance to ensure high-quality transmission. Troubleshoots and resolves problems.
? Displays a comprehensive understanding of communication and routing protocols to include but not limited to TCP/IP, BGP and EIGRP.
?·Performs maintenance and upgrade of networks including routers, switches, firewalls, remote access systems, and networks.
? Ability to analyze and evaluate networks, identify issues and provide solutions to ensure effective and efficient operation.
? Conducts, installs, maintains and repairs of network hardware and software.
? Plans and diagrams the physical layout and location of networks devices and the connection between devices participating on the network.
? Knowledge in High Assurance Internet Protocol Encryptor (HAIPE) devices.
? Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
? Solid understanding of network operations (Cisco IOS, etc).
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
? Required Experience: 5+ years of related network administration work experience
? Required Technical Skills: Networking Administration experience HAIPE devices, Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, remote access systems and networks.
? Required Skills and Abilities: Leadership, Communication (written and verbal) and problem solving.
? Preferred Education and certifications: HS diploma or equivalent work experience. Security + CE and/or CCNA certifications
? Preferred Skills: Bachelor's Degree in an IT related field, ITILv4, CCNP or higher level certification(s)
? Location: On Customer Site in Newington, VA
? Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI required and US Citizenship Required

The likely salary range for this position is $112,200 - $151,800. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
