MGB-16667 -RN GI Lab / Endoscopy - Newton, MA - 13 Weeks Contract
Sigma Healthcare Team is looking for an RN GI Lab / Endoscopy to work at our client's facility in Salem.
Shift: 07:00 - 17:30
Endoscopy/Gastroenterology RN:
Registered Nurses in this profession are faced with disorders and illnesses such as constipation, diarrhea, reflux, ulcers, food allergies, Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, colon cancer, and rectal cancer, among others.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the diagnosis of gastroenterological disorders.
Ability to insert a fiber optic tube with a camera into the bowels to get a view of the lining of the intestines.
Perform and/or Assist with these and other procedures.
Get patients ready for treatment
Prepare medication before administering to patients
Monitor the patient during treatment being performed by a physician or other medical personnel
Post-procedure assessments, which are used to watch for warning signs or symptoms that might suggest that the endoscopy didn't go as planned and that the patient needs further care or emergency attendance.
Create plans for discharging patients so that patients are well educated on any additional medication or care techniques that must be utilized when they leave the hospital
Requirements:
Current & valid state RN License
ACLS/BLS
