Function in the Job:
Sedentary Work- Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.

Job Function:
Identify, analyze, specify, design, and translate functional software design to technical design, by creating and documenting technical software designs for medium to high complexity software solutions that may include integration with external systems. Write, test, debug, and maintain software applications for end-user adoption, productivity improvement and efficiency. Ensure developed software code meets the technical and functional specifications. Participate in the installation and configuration of development/test/production. Develop and document effective unit test cases to test solution and validate results are as expected. Quantify and meet individual and project phase level efforts. Create software solutions that adhere to and incorporate RTS standards. Identify commonalities and suggest a consistent approach across projects. Apply and use information management protocols and technology standards in design of systems architecture solution. Remote work permitted.

 

SCHEDULE:    40 hours per week, Monday through Friday

Required Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Technology, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or closely related field of study and seven (7) years’ experience as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, Application Developer or related role where required experience gained.

 

SPECIAL SKILLS:     Also requires experience in the following:

 

IBM BPM 8.0 or higher;

IBM Java SDK;

Object-oriented programming;

IBM BAW/BPM/WebSphere system architecture and design capabilities;

Writing or creating complex SQL, PL/SQL queries and stored procedures;

Understand and apply design and modeling concepts at the system level;

SOA and n-tier application architectures; and

Building Services (API) using .NET or Java.
