About the Role:
As a Software Engineer Backend (Go), you will play a critical role in developing the backend software that powers the company's platform. You'll collaborate closely with engineering, product, and design teams to deliver high-quality, production-ready code and help drive innovation across the platform.
Key Responsibilities:
Write production-level backend software using Go.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers and product managers, to define project goals and deliver high-impact features.
Mentor teammates, set and enforce engineering quality standards, and introduce systems that improve team velocity.
Contribute to building a platform that enhances the buying and selling of building materials online.
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on backend development.
Experience writing production-level code in Go.
Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively with teammates and cross-functional partners.
Willingness to work in-person at the Redwood City office 3-4 days a week.
Nice-to-Haves:
Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment.
Familiarity with frontend development using React and TypeScript.
Background in construction or building materials.
