Senior Software Engineer
Remote
Annual Compensation - $125,000 to $145,000 DOE

The Senior Software Engineer will work as part of a team to develop, maintain and support different software applications. The Sr. Software Engineer will follow systems development lifecycle to ensure on-time completion of IT projects, keep up to date on technical and software advancements, and make recommendations to improve processes.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES:
Provide mentorship to a team of developers to get solutions developed in accordance with business requirements, company development standards and procedures.
Participate in the creation and modification of internal development standards and procedures.
Assist with team development including technical interviews of potential candidates, technical development of existing team members and staff reviews.
Create, review and implement software framework solutions into libraries based on known patterns and new algorithms.
Perform other duties as assigned by IT Software Development Manager.
Create documentation for according to GMR SDLC Framework.
Write unit tests and perform system testing.
Troubleshoot and remediate production issues.
Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience:
Experience in object-oriented analysis, design, development, and implementation as well as in developing n-tier applications.
Ability to effectively lead and mentor a small- sized team of developers.
Proven track record in designing, analyzing, developing, implementing, and maintaining software products.
Knowledge of software development methodologies and practices.
Hands-on knowledge of relational databases, preferable MS SQL Server.
Experience in 2 full cycle large scale applications as technical lead preferred
Experience with Web-Services and/or Remoting preferred.
Strong Microsoft Azure development responsibilities preferred. Designing cloud solutions, selecting appropriate Azure services, and optimizing resource utilization for high availability and performance.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline or equivalent work experience is required.
Skills:
Strong software development skills in the following technologies: MS .NET, C#, Windows Forms, Visual Studio .NET, ADO.NET.
Strong analytical, problem solving skills and interpersonal skills.
Strong SQL with good understanding of database design paradigms.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to multitask and work independently.
Knowledge in ASP.NET, HTML, XML and AJAX.
