SR Data Analyst with Data Warehouse Design / Data Modeling Experience

Chicago, IL - 3 days/week on site downtown Chicago

Work at one of the top Financial Services corporate offices.

Contract position

Qualifications (must haves):

- SQL

- 2 yrs Experience Snowflake

- Data warehousing

- Data modelling and Design

Nice to have: Experience in the banking

Tasks & Responsibilities:

-Strong in SQL and Data warehouse concepts – Hands on experience working in a data warehouse environment

-Write complex SQLs to analyze/profile datasets and identify patterns

-Recommend solutions based on data analysis

-Demonstrate strong analytical and problem solving skills and be quick to identify design related concerns

Needs to be successful in this position:

1.    SR Data Analyst / Data Modeler (he considers these profiles one and the same as need to know both sides) – 7+ yrs experience

2.    Req gathering – be able to document and recommend technical design – document data workflows – hand design doc’s to data engineers - Know data concepts 

3.    Strong SQL, data whse and modeling, 

4.    snowflake experience SnowSQL  - 2yrs Snowflake exp

5.    ETL experience 

6.    Build out data flows, design

NOT an ETL developer who has not done some data analysis , Need to have strong design details 

7+ yrs overall experience
