The Department of Energy (DOE) has an ongoing requirement for a Program Manager (Contractor) to support cybersecurity and IT infrastructure needs.
Pending a contract award, Global Engineering & Technology (GET) is seeking an experienced candidate for Program Manager to assist the technical and administrative support resources to develop and maintain applications and infrastructure, supporting a mission that is part of DOE. This critically important position is highly compensated and requires a true leader and team builder with experience in managing a large group (45+) of highly specialized senior technical experts.
The work location is primarily at the DOE facility complex in Germantown, Maryland, with some “as-needed” required on-site in the Washington, DC, metropolitan area and at the National Archives & Records Administration (NARA) Greenbelt facility.
Salary Range: $135,000 - $155,000 per year
Program Manager Duties:
Manages the overall contractual effort to ensure responsiveness to the client.
Interfaces between the client management and GET corporate staff.
Directs employee workflow in all task areas.
Responsible for planning and directing process improvements.
Ensures overall responsiveness of staff for completion of all contract requirements and job requests.
Requirements
Security Clearance:
MUST possess an active DOE Q clearance or an active DoD Top Secret clearance
Experience & Skills:
This position requires a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in Program Management, managing projects of comparable size and complexity (This experience may be a combination of private sector, civil service, and/or military experience)
The candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
The candidate must have a strong knowledge and command of conflict-resolution techniques.
The candidate must have the ability to perform under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
The candidate must be able to perform complex data analysis and apply the analysis to make process improvements.
It is highly desirable that the individual have direct management experience within/with the DOE
It is highly desirable for the individual to have direct and current experience with cybersecurity support and IT providing project planning and management, application development, testing, operations and maintenance, website development, help desk and end-user support, and server and network infrastructure management support.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited university or college in such fields as one of the engineering disciplines, physical sciences, or public or business administration.
