Job Title: Avid Software Engineer
Location: Remote (10% travel might be required to NY)
Duration: 6 Weeks
Job Description:
We have a need for an Avid Software Engineer. Looking for a senior engineer to design, develop, and implement custom plugins and system integrations within the Avid MediaCentral and Avid Interplay environments, enhancing media asset management, post-production workflows, and system performance; short contract about 6 weeks but possibility for extension; 90% remote with the slim possibility of traveling to the client in NY city.
Roles and Respoinsibilities:
Develop and maintain external systems integrations and plugins within Avid MediaCentral and other tools within the Avid ecosystem.
Customize and automate media workflows to streamline post-production processes.
Collaborate with media engineers and production teams to optimize system configurations and troubleshoot issues.
Implement and maintain scripts, plugins, and solutions to improve overall system functionality and user experience.
Provide ongoing technical support, enhancements, and updates to ensure the Avid environment is efficient and aligned with business needs.
Requirements:
Proven experience with Avid MediaCentral, Interplay, and related APIs/Service toolkits.
Proven experience in developing, testing and rolling out the system integrations within the Avid ecosystem.
Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, and RESTful APIs.
Solid understanding of media asset management systems and media workflows in post-production environments.
Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on optimizing performance and resolving system issues efficiently.
This role requires hands-on development expertise, with a focus on creating seamless integrations and automating complex workflows within the Avid ecosystem.
