Job Description
The Systems Administrator role is accountable for maintaining the technology infrastructure and supporting XPRIZE users for their day to day. This role is accountable for overall IT efforts within the company.
The Systems Administrator reports to the VP, Technology, and is a key member of the Information Technology team.
Responsibilities
More than 70% of your time will be spent managing the XPRIZE IT Systems and Cloud SaaS applications. Other responsibilities for this position include but may not be limited to:
Analyzing system logs and identifying potential issues with computer systems
Introducing and integrating new technologies
Performing routine audits of systems and software
Performing backups and restoring of data
Applying operating system updates, patches, and configuration changes
Installing and configuring new hardware and software
Creating training materials and conduct security awareness trainings for end users
Adding, removing, or updating user account information, resetting passwords, etc
Responsibility for security
Responsibility for documenting the configuration of the systems
Tuning Systems performance
Answering technical queries and troubleshooting any reported problems
Work assignments will be a combination of self-generated projects reflecting the individual’s strategic choices that are aligned with their primary accountabilities and the teams overall objectives, as well as assignments provided by the VP, Technology.
