Job Requirements / Description
Job Description:
You'll be the hands-on troubleshooter ensuring our hardware systems work as designed from the drawing board to the real world, and meet our requirements. This means testing, debugging, and supporting the team at every stage of development - early bring up, validation, system integration testing, manufacturing ramp, in-field support, and failure analysis.
Core Skills:
Hands-On Experience: You've successfully tested and debugged embedded hardware before, from early development to field support.
Technical Know-How: You understand how to collect electrical measurements, use lab equipment (such as oscilloscopes), execute test plans, use software tools such as Linux or Bash command consoles, and even do some basic scripting in Linux or Python.
Hardware / PCBA Savvy: You can read and understand schematics and layouts, and you're familiar with how PCBs are manufactured.
Key Responsibilities:
System/Integration Testing:
Execute test plans, set up tests, and take measurements.
Work with the team to review results and find solutions if something's not right.
Field Unit Support:
Be the first to investigate any hardware that comes back from the field and figure out what went wrong.
Test Infrastructure Development:
Build and maintain our hardware test setups in the lab.
Create scripts and automation to make testing more efficient.
In essence:
You're a Problem Solver: You're the detective who digs deep into hardware issues to uncover their root cause.
You're a Builder: You create the test environments and automation that ensure our systems work as intended.
You're a Team Player: You collaborate with design and engineering teams to make our hardware the best it can be
