Job Description:

As a Senior Specialist, Systems Engineer, you will contribute to a diverse technical team on the MOSSAIC GBOSS team. This position supports the Space & Airborne Systems (SAS) division, a great team of talented professionals with world class technical expertise who take a collaborative approach to engineering and enjoy working together. In this position, you will bring your systems engineering background to a system engineering role where you can make a broad impact to programs and projects that are critical to our customers!

Essential Functions:

Perform as a systems engineer on a large system of systems team
Display strong technical writing skills
Utilize engineering V-Model lifecycle experience (requirements, design, integration, test)
Familiar with the Agile life cycle
Display excellent communication and presentation skills and work harmoniously in a team environment with government customers and other contractors
Negotiate solutions among functional groups (Systems Engineering, Mission Engineering, Software Engineering, etc.)
Utilize analytical and troubleshooting skills demonstrated by related work experience
Strong coordination and organization skills with a focus on details
Proficient with domain knowledge (space systems engineering, ground optical systems, general systems)
Participate in agile execution, MBSE, and requirements analysis.
Display interpersonal leadership skills with support to customers, including meetings and briefings.
Utilize DoD engineering experience, System Development Life Cycle knowledge, Familiarity with DoD 5000.
Use experience with DoD Systems Engineering artifacts (SEP, SEMP, TEMP, CMP, DMP).
Apply experience with INCOSE requirements writing guide.
Travel as needed

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
Active US government Secret security clearance.

Preferred Additional Skills:

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or adjacent field
Strong MBSE (SysML) experience desired
DoDAF experience preferred
MatLab, Visual Basic, Python, or other software language experience
Integration/test experience, Space knowledge, including familiarity with Space Domain Awareness and SDA data algorithms preferred
System Development Life Cycle knowledge
Experience with Engineering Drawings and traceability MagicDraw
Rational DOORs

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $89,000.00 - $(phone number removed). This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
