MEMS Process Development & Automation Engineer II

At Abbott, our Heart Failure division is recruiting a MEMS Process Development & Automation Engineer in Atlanta, GA, to develop and implement a suite of new manufacturing process as we grow the CardioMEMS portfolio. Primary Responsibilities
Work within a cross-functional team to design and implement custom equipment for MEMS manufacturing processes
Collaboratively identify critical hardware and software requirements
Draft equipment and software specification documents and execute validation activities
Perform failure mode analysis to identify root cause of manufacturing issues and implement solutions
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or related disciplines (advanced degree preferred)
3+ years relevant experience
Ability to code in a variety of languages including C/C++, Labview, Python, and MATLAB
Proficiency in mechanical design and rapid prototyping (3D Printing & CNC Machining)
Familiarity with design of experiments methodology, and statistical analysis
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Strong organizational, planning, and time management abilities
Highly self-motivated with the capacity to work autonomously and collaboratively
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with RF electronics, including radio, Bluetooth, and NFC communication
Electronics circuit fabrication, including experience with microcontrollers and PCB design
Knowledgeable in interfacing with database systems (SQL and Non-SQL)
Hands on experience with semiconductor and MEMS manufacturing processes in a clean-room environment
Strong understanding of GMP principles and experience working in a highly regulated environment
Experience with Class II or III implantable medical device manufacturing
The base pay for this position is $57,300.00 – $(phone number removed). In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
