VP Network Administrator

Our client, a global bank, is seeking a VP Network Engineer to design, build and manage their network infrastructure and security. This is a fulltime position onsite 5 days/week in midtown Manhattan.
Responsibilities:

Supervise and control the overall operations and implementation of systems involving network, Internet, email gateway, IDS/IPS,SIEM system, vulnerability scan systems etc.

Administer and maintain the network infrastructure to ensure high security and performance

Ensure that network device configuration and patching are well managed while meeting the Bank' IT & IS standards.

Contact carriers for circuits, and other vendors for equipment and service installation, maintenance or troubleshooting.

Formulate disaster recovery plans/incident responses, and arrange for relevant tests to ensure that the plan is following the regulatory requirements.

Provide Helpdesk support for network/security related requests or issues.

Any other work assigned by IT Department Management.

Education and Experience Requirements:

BS or BA in Computer Science, E&E or other highly IT related fields with knowledge and expertise in networks and network security.

Skills and Knowledge:

Experience with Cisco and Juniper's firewall, routers and switches.

Professional Certifications in networking required(Cisco CCNA or CCIE)

Networking in TCP/IP,IP addressing, IP subnets and routing protocols

Professional knowledge and experience in network security on IDS/IPS and firewall devices. Vulnerability scans and Penetration tests.

Experience with the process and procedures in the operations of a typical data center

Languages: English & Chinese (Mandarin preferred) - able to read, write & speak
