Overview:
In this role, responsibilities will include performing back office duties for our Payment Operations department in support of the branches, call center, and support services. The individual will provide superior service to members both external and internal and via remote channels. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, highly-organized, and have the ability to communicate with tact and professionalism.
Responsibilities:
Subpoena Records Production and Wire Transfer Support:
Responsible for producing credit union records to satisfy subpoena requests served to Patelco Credit Union including production of account statements, checks, and signature cards
Responsible for evaluating written order to confirm compliance with Rights to Financial Privacy Act (RFPA) and Notice to Consumer
Research accounts to produce documents as explicitly requested; conduct necessary research in all archives to obtain records including account statements, check copies, and loan applications
Responsible for compiling all records to furnish to subpoena agency by deposition date and maintenance of completed subpoenas for record retention compliance
Process outgoing and incoming wire transfers for both domestic and international transfers
Performs various security related functions to validate the authenticity of domestic and international wires to determine if they are in compliance with governed policies and procedures
Analyze and verify wire transfer instructions for risk mitigation
Review and process incoming domestic and international wire transfers by reviewing wire instructions and beneficiary account to determine acceptability and accurate receipt of funds
Perform OFAC verification of all wires for BSA compliance
Track and communicates all outstanding branch wire transfer request
Completes daily wire balancing and end of day procedures within appropriate deadline
Must be flexible to meet the changing needs of the organization
Qualifications:
Must have High School Diploma/GED
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Finance preferred
AAP or NCP Accreditation highly desired
Minimum 3 years’ experience in credit union or financial institution experience
Minimum 3 years’ experience in customer service or call center preferred
Minimum 2 years previous experience in Remote Deposit Capture, check in-clearings, or returned check adjustments
Knowledgeable in NACHA, Regulation CC, Regulation E, and Check21Act
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong data entry skills with high accuracy standards
Skilled in utilizing Microsoft Excel to present information and complex sets of data
Target Base Pay:
$26 / hr
