Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Programmer with our client in the financial industry located in Plano, TX. This is a 12 + month contract position.
Responsibilities:
Quality Assurance Automation Engineer to design, develop, maintain and execute test automation framework experience for end to end functional, regression, stress, load and performance testing enabling the development team
Adopt and adhere to test driven development methodology
Collaborate with the global development teams and business partners to ensure quality test cases are written (negative and edge cases) to enable thorough testing of the technology solutions delivered in a dynamic Agile environment
Solicit subject matter expertise on technology solutions quality engineering tool, automation framework, methodology
Interpret enterprise quality engineering standards & policies, able to formulate adoption strategy and processes working with development teams for adoption and serve as SME for tooling and quality processes while establishing governance process to drive self-sustained continued adherence to enterprise testing standards by development team across all testing types (unit, functional, regression, load, stress, performance, integration)
Be a subject matter expert on testing practices ensuring the testing strategy and processes are well-defined and continuously improved for the team or teams
Establish a test and automation strategy, create common test frameworks, define and manage test processes including test data generation, defect management and reporting
Bring a 'testing mindset' to the teams, and be responsible for testing and delivering complex software requirements to accomplish business outcomes
Create and optimize test processes including defect management and reporting
Contribute to building quality into the Software Development Lifecycle(SDLC) using best practices and tools
Create a test automation strategy across the application stack (UI, API, and Backend, etc.).
Create and optimize test automation frameworks and use of test automation tools
Define and execute adoption of enterprise testing standards for adherence
Lead test planning for complex features that span across the platform or multiple teams.
Optimize test suites employing techniques such risk-based testing
Condition and generate test data and ensure data compliance requirements are met on all levels of test environments. Assist in identifying and managing sensitive test data.
Participate in triaging reported issues/defects and assist with resolving or escalating them as necessary
Create and manage traceability. Trace tests forwards/backwards through the development lifecycle and back to requirements
Use testing tools and follow processes to complete testing on a given test environment and assist with fulfillment of necessary steps required to promote code base to higher level environments
Ensure alignment and sign off for test cases from business and other stakeholders
Manage test automation execution and assist with resolving, communicating or escalating any issues that may result in test plan variance
Define and execute test automation approach, quality engineering methodology processes and tools to drive test driven development
Requirements:
6+ years' experience QA Automation
3+ years' experience on any of test automation tool/framework - TOSCA/UFT/Selenium/ Cucumber etc.
2+ years' experience on any of test management tool qTest, Octane, Rally
3+ years' experience on any of RDBMS database SQL Server, Oracle, Exadata, backend SQL or database on writing SQL's and automating them
Proven track record in strong data skills, Window and Linux operating system
Strong functional testing skills with preferably financial, banking, Credit risk management domain experience
Detailed oriented, quality conscious, with an eye toward simplicity
Good oral and written communication skills
Pay Range: $58.26 - $66.26
