Overview:
Maintains professional accountability and technical support for provision of patient care for the endoscopy patients experience.As directed, may be preparing the endoscopy field, obtain needed equipment uphold patient safety standards and assist the physician and registered nurse.Performs a variety of direct and indirect patient care duties and may assist with special procedures as noted on the career ladder program.These duties may range from limited to overly complex. All duties are performed in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications(LevelI):0-1 year of experience /Outpatient Centers and Rural Locations/Non-24-hour opportunity location (primarily an ASC or rural locale)
Education: High-School Diploma or GED arerequired. You may be asked toprovideproof of education.
Certifications:American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)required.
Experience:1. The Endoscopy Technologist Icansuccessfullyparticipatein lower patientacuitycases AND/OR high-level disinfection. 2. Completes one basic competency- Either Endoscopy Tech in Scope room competency OR Endoscopy Tech in Procedure Competency.
Other: Must understand English both written and spoken, must be able toperform job-related functions safely and successfully, with or without reasonable accommodation required by federal, state, or local law.
