Peraton is seeking a Software Test Automation Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.
What you will do:
Conduct functional and/or integration testing of multiple programs with a focus on automated testing.
Proactively identify use cases for test automation within supported projects and architect, design, and develop automated test scripts.
Lead development of test automation solutions and frameworks.
Evaluate functional test cases with project stakeholders and ensure completion of testing.
Coordinate work assignments to ensure timely and accurate completion of testing.
Train other contractor or government personnel in use of automated testing tools.
Test planning, test documentation development, test execution, defects tracking, and test results reporting.
Escalate risks and issues related to test steps.
Provide guidance to accomplish the goals and objectives of the test strategy for the program.
Schedule:
Core hours are 0930-1430 Monday-Friday to ensure overlap with the team, attendance is expected outside of this window as needed to support meetings, deployments, and team activities.
At least one day on-site per week as determined by project manager(s) in conjunction with customer requirements.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA; 0 years with PhD
Must be a U.S. Citizen and have an active Secret clearance.
Strong oral and written communications skills.
Required Technical Qualifications:
Must have application requirements, design, and testing experience.
Expertise writing tests for unit testing frameworks PHPUnit, JUnit, NUnit, Pytest, etc.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Gherkin and related implementation frameworks for scenario driven testing.
Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD).
Experience with Cypress for Javascript/UI testing.
Experience with agile software delivery lifecycles, with particular emphasis on requirements analysis, design, and testing experience.
Experience configuring automated testing pipelines in CI/CD platforms such as GitLab.
Experience working in a disconnected network (not connected to the internet).

Target Salary Range:
$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
