Job Title: Senior Network Engineer (Hybrid)
Location: Englewood, CO
Roles & Responsibilities:
Verify the requests for firewall rule opening & other Security related requests in Checkpoint, Cisco firewalls & implement the same by following the change process, if needed co-ordinate with the requestor to fix it as per standard.
Verify the requests for new virtual IP creation & other types in F5 LTM, GTM and implement the same by following the change process, if needed co-ordinate with the requestor to correct it as per standard.
Handling and Tackle GRE & IPSec VPN tunnels & related issues in Cisco & Checkpoint devices.
Knowledgeable to work in Service Now Ticketing environment with incidents, requests, for inspiring changes and to follow the process.
Participate in Change Management Calls to present changes and seek approval.
Test, fix and validate F5, Firewall changes with the Application Team validators.
Work with vendor support teams (like Cisco, F5, ISPs) on Infrastructure related issues and get it resolved.
Required Qualifications:
Good interpersonal skills.
Good knowledge & experience in Checkpoint Firewalls, Cisco ASA or FTD and F5 load balancers (LTM/GTM)
Good knowledge over general Networking concepts like DHCP, DNS, IP Address management, NAT, IPSec VPN, NTP, SNMP is must
Good debug/fix skills with the F5 GUI, CLI, Log files, and TCPDUMP processes & in general Enterprise Network environment.
Basic understanding of Enterprise Routing in EIGRP, BGP, VRFs; and Enterprise switching, virtual switches, stack switches.
Good Teammate and willing to work with people from other geographies for continuous support.
Plus/Nice to Have Skills/Prior Experiences:
F5 configuration scripting and automation capabilities.
Understanding of the CISCO ACI and AWS.
Salary and Other Compensation:
Applications will be accepted until November 10, 2024.
The annual salary for this position is between $ 79,000.00 - $ 92,500.00 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
