Description:
We are seeking an outstanding engineering talent with the experience to lead the design, solutioning and delivery of large-scale enterprise Cloud-Native applications. The candidate should be product focused and deeply passionate about solving complex problems.
Candidate must have the ability to communicate upward to superiors and laterally to other departments, keeping the organization at large in sync and making sure that their team continues to deliver results. Demonstrated the ability to monitor multiple projects to successful completion, maintaining scope within the time and budget constraints. Capable of creating solutions that serve the business needs by leveraging leading edge technologies in an innovative and impactful manner.
Day-to-day Responsibilities:
Managing Application Development Standards, Processes, and Tools
Facilitates compliance with the standard set of application development tools and processes that will drive consistency and predictability throughout the SDLC for all client groups including:
SDLC standard tools and processes for both waterfall and agile development
Estimating standard tools and processes, incorporating flexibility for small and large projects
Deployment standard tools and processes
Monitors projects for adherence to defined application development processes.
Education and Experience Required:
10+ years’ experience in Software Architecture, Design & Development.
4+ years’ experience in leading Software Dev teams and implementing enterprise application packages in distributed environments
Undergraduate degree, equivalent experience, or certification
Experience with Java 17+, Spring Boot3, Kafka, AWS EKS, MongoDB, Redis
In-depth knowledge of Integration patterns and architectures
Clean Code & SOLID Principles
Experience with technologies – Java, NoSQL, Spring boot, WebFlux, Kafka, Docker & K8s
Experience & understanding of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, logging, metrics, monitoring, tracing
Experience with Jira and Confluence
Experience performing Functional Tests with tools like Postman.
Experience with REST API’s, Java Microservices, Spring Boot, Unit Tests & BDD
Strong understanding of API platforms, back-end services, database and networking components of full stack infrastructure
Preferred:
Experience with defining API gateway roadmap and with automated API provisioning.
Experience with Java 21, Virtual Threads, Spring Boot3x, Kafka, AWS EKS, MongoDB, Redis, GraalVM
Deep understanding of Domain-Driven Design, Cloud-Native Design Patterns, Microservices Architecture, Event-Driven Architecture, Reactive Systems, Actors, Service Orchestration and Choreography
Experience & understanding of DevOps, GitOps, CI/CD pipelines, logging, metrics, monitoring, tracing, Open Telemetry, Kubernetes Patterns, Istio Service Mesh & OPA
Demonstrated success leading medium- to large-scale initiatives/transformations.
Proven management experience in strategic planning and budgeting within one or more business groups
Proven knowledge of SDLC
Proven knowledge of Agile methodology; preferably SAFe
Experience with Actor frameworks & GraphQL
Active contributions to OSS projects
Relevant technology certifications
Experience in full stack development
Proven ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
