Genesis10 is currently seeking an IT Program Manager with our client in the financial industry located in Charlotte, NC, Pennington, NJ, and Plano, TX. This is a 12+ month contract position.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivery of defined deliverables which usually requires engagement from multiple teams such as a project or smaller program
Communicating the work objectives, coordinating delivery, managing risks, ensuring compliance to standards, and providing end-to-end visibility into the health of the deliverables
Ensures execution and delivery meets the client's expectations in terms of the functionality, quality, timeline and cost
Facilitate sync points across multiple organizations to enable delivery
A Delivery Lead, is an individual contributor at the program level
Coordinates and facilitates routines to support delivery – e.g., kick-offs, status reviews, stakeholder meetings, change controls, tollgates, etc.
Facilitates dependency management/risk management/impediment removal for the defined deliverables
Promotes/facilitates communication and collaboration across organizations to support the deliverable completion and timeline
Gathers/facilitates status updates for the deliverables to stakeholders and leadership pertaining to delivery, risks/issues, and schedule
Ensures that execution is aligned with deliverable requirements by working with the sponsor/stakeholders
Ensures deliverables comply with Enterprise Change Management standards
Supports resource planning for delivery/execution
Requirements:
5-7 years previous experience managing technology projects using SDLC methodologies (Agile and/or Waterfall)
Strong organizational and planning skills
Strong leadership skills to lead project team to deliver the technology solution with quality, on-time, and within budget
Strong communication skills to effectively and clearly communicate project status, issues, risks at all levels including key stakeholders and executives
Ability to identify, communicate, and drive critical path activities, dependencies, timelines, and resources
Previous experience managing project budget and financials to execute appropriate due diligence and financial management routines to deliver against financial commitments
Ability to drive Enterprise Project Standards for planning, executing, and controls and meeting project audit requirements
Risk management and ability to identify potential risks and escalate as needed, remove roadblocks to ensure progress
Ability to identify all impacted teams, applications, and engage as needed for design, development, testing through to deployment(s)
Ability to partner with testing teams to ensure testing timelines and deliverables are met
Ability to identify deployment readiness plans and documentation and ensure deployment timelines and event are coordinated with broader planned release activities and externally impacted application teams
Proactive in driving team to achieve commitments and results
Agile tools (Jira)
Complex problem solving
