Position Title: IT Applications Solution Architect Sr QA Automation Engineer

Special Skillset:

Experience with Automating Web based applications, Mobile Automation, and API's

Extensive work experience in Web services, SOAP, Restful services, IBM Messaging Q's, XML and JSON services

Experience with automated testing tools like Java+Selenium, Cucumber

Experience with API testing tools such as Postman, SoapUI, Rest-assured.

Software development experience with structured programming languages such as .Net, Java and Python

Experience with quality assurance practices and testing methodologies.

Experience with test plan and test case development and execution.

Experience with developing, executing, and maintaining automated test scripts to cover front end validation and middleware validations.

Experience with MS SQL Server, BitBucket, JIRA, Xray, Postman

Experience deploying in CI/CD and using Build Pipelines

Demonstrated documentation and reporting tasks.

Experience with commercial defect management systems.

Experience training small teams regarding test engineering concepts.

Experience working within an Agile Development Environment

Excellent communication skills, analytical and problem-solving skills

Possess understanding of program interfaces, services, databases, messaging, files systems, and other program objects.

A bachelor s degree preferably in Computer Science, Software Engineering, similar discipline, or equivalent work experience is required.

7+ years of structured software quality assurance engineering experience is required.

7+ years of hands-on experience with the development of automated test scripts, execution of test cases and reporting and dissemination of test results.

Responsibilities:

Creating, maintenance and evaluation of software automation test scripts for both UI and API (including incorporation of dynamic test data)

Ability to train others regarding automation test concepts; plus providing guidance and direction when needed.

Gathering and validating application functional/performance/load requirements, test results reporting.

Creation and maintenance of test plans and test cases, defect reporting and tracking in JIRA.

Execution, as required, of manual and automated software testing in areas involving installation, functional, performance and load, integration, and regression testing.

Documentation of process improvements regarding best practices regarding test automation and generating test execution reports.

Coordination and prioritization of test development activities and the ability to work with multiple development teams and software projects are also critical for the selected candidate

Lumen and / or its clients will not provide equipment (Laptop, monitor, etc.) to the selected contractor. The contractor must have their own equipment. Access to a virtual desktop set up (software) will be provided by Lumen s client, allowing the user access to the required systems and technology.
