Job Title: Software Engineer - Operational Safety
Duration: 3 months
Location: Foster City, CA
Pay Range: $79.00 - $89/08/hr
Responsibilities:
Proactively query field data to extract signals for potential vehicle safety concerns, with a focus on autonomy behaviors
Monitor trends in field data for potential exceedance of initial safety targets established for deployment, and create feedback process with relevant teams to review assumptions, models, calculations, etc.
Develop dashboards for monitoring and consumption by leadership, and to support risk-based and data-driven decision making
Integrate monitoring process with various operational safety and mission assurance processes.
Be part of the on-call incident management process and support other operational safety initiatives
Qualifications:
BS Degree in Computer Science or related field with at least 6-8 years of experience working with safety-critical systems, or a combination of experience and education
Technical expertise in one or more of the following areas: AI (planning, prediction, perception, etc.), ADAS development, or software safety critical systems
Proficiency in C++ or other programming languages
Motivated self-starter with a track record of leading safety initiatives, gaining stakeholder consensus, and always looking to improve upon the status quo
Ability to manage incidents on-call with poise and professionalism
