Responsibilities:
Under the minimal direction, the Sr. Systems Administrator will manage the configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Meditech systems and associated hardware, ensuring that the clinical applications run smoothly to meet the needs of healthcare professionals. This role is critical in ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of our Meditech infrastructure, and supporting hospital operations. The position requires little or no supervision as they build, maintain the system, and exercise independent judgement and discretion in carrying out day-to-day support related activities. The Analyst will also act as a mentor to other members of the team. This position is responsible for executing advanced design and analysis tasks that have a direct impact on the hospital's business operations.

Qualifications:
Required qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience as a Systems Administrator with Meditech EHR environment.
Strong understanding of Meditech system architecture, including modules such (ADM, ITS, LAB, EDM, EMR, BAR, PHA, QM/RM, POM, OE, MIS, NMI, HR & MM modules)
Proficiency in server and network administration, particularly in Windows and Unix/Linux environments.
Experience with Meditech Client/Server, Magic, or Expanse platforms.
Familiarity with storage solutions, virtualization (e.g., VMware), and backup solutions.
Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex system issues.
Understands hospital business operations and structure, general requirements in an integrated delivery system, and use of IT applications in the practicing healthcare environment.
Experience with HIPAA compliance and healthcare data security.
Strong project management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred qualifications:
MCSA and CCNA Certifications.
Certifications in Meditech or relevant systems.
Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for system automation.
Familiarity with HL7, interface engines, and other healthcare interoperability standards.
