Oracle Cloud HCM Director - Full Time Corporate role
the Director, Oracle Cloud HCM will play a key role being a strategic business partner between the HR business unit, departmental users and our colleagues in Technology & Information (T&I). Serving as the HCM subject matter expert, and HR technical project manager, the ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Oracle Cloud HCM and strong project management skills. The successful candidate will have expertise in underlying business process of employee data management, deployment, compensation, payroll, time management and the employee life cycle.

System Maintenance and Oversight

Responsible for the daily operations of HCM in Oracle Cloud, including but not limited to Core HR, Benefits, Talent Management, Compensation, Absence Management and other Oracle HCM modules

Performs system maintenance, including assisting in the review, testing and implementation of system upgrades or patches

Collaborates with functional and technical staff to coordinate application of upgrades and/or fixes

Evaluates data integration, standards, testing, procedures and policies for managing data between multiple systems

Oversee the management of production support, including researching and resolving HRMS problems, unexpected results or process flaws; performing scheduled activities; recommending solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements

Collaborates with the CHRO, the HR team and their customers to analyze work process design and flow, improve processes and leverage the return on technological capabilities

Partner with stakeholders and T&I to gather and analyze functional requirements for HCM processes

Identify opportunities to leverage HCM through custom workflows, approvals and notifications that align with business processes and departmental user needs

Oversee testing activities, including outlining test scripts, system testing, integration testing and UAT

Identify functionality gaps in processes, business needs and Oracle HCM and determine appropriate resolution

Manage the ongoing review of business processes, develops optimization strategies to ensure configuration and utilization of Oracle HCM meets the College and departments requirements

Troubleshoot and manages permissions, access, personalization, and similar system operations and settings for HR access in HCM

Collaborate with cross-functional teams and work closely with technical teams to resolve technical issues

Strategic Use of Oracle HCM

Lead migration of ongoing configuration, integrations and extensions to production for HCM

Oversee the comprehensive, long term and strategic project plans, scope, objectives, timelines and resources for the ongoing utilization of HCM for the HR team and end users

Lead and guide stakeholders to understand their business requirements and system capabilities to leverage, redesign, implement and/or configure Oracle HCM applications for business requirements

Partner with T&I to identify project requirements and expectations

Monitor progress of system enhancements, identify potential risks or delays and implement strategies to ensure on-time and accurate service delivery

Manage the ongoing validation of data configured to HCM

Advise the CHRO and client groups on options, risks and potential impact on requests in relation to other processes or systems

Stays abreast of current and future trends, technology and information that will positively affect organizational projects; applies and integrates emerging technological trends to new and existing systems architecture

Customer Support and Training

Provides day-to-day technical support to system users through ongoing assistance and advisement to the employee community needing support completing HCM transactions

Manage day-to-day technical support to system users, serving as an area resources on HR questions by advising and assisting

Provides the leadership, vision and strategic development for a HR ticketing and incident management system, HCM users support, issue resolution and troubleshooting of problems. Guide the creation of service level agreements, performance metrics and analytics to ensure efficiencies.

Ensures the continuity and successful deliver of customer service to end users encountering issues with oracle HCM

Partner with key stakeholder to develop and deliver user training and documentation to ensure successful adoption of the system based on frequency of transactions and incident management

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Human Resources, or related field

Minimum of 10 years of HRIS systems administration experience required

Minimum of 5 years' experience as a functional lead in at least one or more the following modules: Core HR, Benefits, Talent Management, Compensation, Absence Management, Time and Labor, Workforce Compensation or Payroll

Preferred Qualifications

Project management certification and/or HR certification is a plus

Prior Work Experience

Experience implementing Oracle Fusion HCM or similar HR cloud applications.

Strong functional knowledge of HCM processes and best practices

Familiarity with Core HR, Payroll, Talent Management, and Compensation modules in Oracle Fusion HCM

Proficiency in configuring HCM workflows, approval processes, and security settings

Proficiency with HCM reporting, analytics tools and solutions, business process and workflow

Demonstrated experience taking a proactive approach to enhancing processes and implementing system changes

Ability to gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into system configurations

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to address technical and functional issues

Excellent communication skills to interact with stakeholders, end-users, and technical teams

Strong organizational and process management skills and track record of process improvement

Advanced computing skills, SQL skills, specific knowledge of and programming experience with integrated human resource information systems (preferably the Oracle HCM), and proficient use of desktop word processing, spreadsheet and ad hoc report writer tools. Advanced skills in SQL, Microsoft Access, SQL Server Reporting Services, Visual Studio. Experience with Data Warehouse desirable.

Familiarity with compensation, benefits, and other human resource processes and functions is preferred. This position requires extreme accuracy and attention to detail, the ability to handle confidential information, excellent communication and mathematical skills, the ability to multi-task effortlessly in a hectic, team-based environment, and the willingness to provide courteous services to all campus constituents.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to bridge functional and technical resources by communicating effectively with individuals of varying systems expertise and business needs.

Ability to exercise discretionary judgment, handle confidential information and identify priorities within multiple assignments with diplomacy
