Overview:
The Director IT Infrastructure and Data Center will lead a team of resources responsible for delivering company-wide and corporate data center infrastructures. This position will be responsible for all SLA’s related to global server/network availability/performance, data center and cloud management (production and business continuity), physical and logical security management. This position will be responsible for managing all resources and utilizing standard employee development processes providing comprehensive performance reviews in line with company policies. This position will also be responsible for defining and establishing the underlying organizational structure to fulfill the objectives and responsibilities listed below.
This position operates in a hybrid schedule (two days in the office and three days from home) and can be based from any Breakthru Beverage office.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for enterprise data center (both cloud and on-premise environments), day-to-day support and network/server capacity management plans by monitoring demand, forecasting future usage, documenting gaps and estimating network and data center capacity upgrade
Accountable for systems and data center services staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and developing associates; initiating, coordinating and enforcing systems, policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Manages the data center and network recovery process by providing advice on infrastructure deficiencies and managing Disaster Recovery activities related to enterprise network and data center technologies
Directs Systems Administrators and Systems Analyst by managing their activities
Other duties, as assigned by the jobholder’s supervisor, may also be required.
Qualifications:
3+ years management and leadership of large and decentralized team of internal and 3rd party resources
8+ years Technical Support in a highly automated ERP environment
7+ years managing data centers in virtual environments (VMware preferred)
3+ years managing cloud-based infrastructure and networks
Demonstrated ability to implement and support multiple technology stacks
Demonstrated leadership experience in implementing highly available and high performing global networks
Demonstrated experience in bringing data together from disparate systems to drive actionable insights for functional leadership
Demonstrated leader with the ability to identify, resolve and execute initiatives and support across functional IT departments
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage technical vendors
Ability to guide technical resources
Undergraduate degree in information science related field or equivalent experience
Familiarity with information security vulnerabilities and risk management
Preferred Qualifications:
Technical experience using Microsoft Active Directory Services, Microsoft Exchange Server, Microsoft IIS, Firewalls, Cisco Routers and switches, VPN Solutions and Systems Management Software
Knowledge of Windows products, network operations, PC troubleshooting techniques and application troubleshooting techniques are highly desired
Microsoft Azure or other cloud certifications
PMP, TOGAF, ITIL certifications a plus
Solid understanding of interdependencies across technology platforms a plus
Alcohol Beverage sales distribution a plus
Advanced information science or business degree a plus
Formal Quality Program Management and Methodology experience a plus
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone
Competencies:
People management responsibility for pay reviews, performance management, training, and resource planning.
Requires conceptual thinking to understand complex issues and their implications, where sufficient information may not be available.
