Looking for a Senior Network Engineer in Carmel, Indiana (Onsite)
The client is looking for a Senior Network Engineer with extensive experience in network administration, specifically within large enterprise environments. The ideal candidate should possess the following:
Key Responsibilities:
Adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and mentoring team members.
Handling technical requests, performing root cause analysis, and troubleshooting issues.
Managing installations, configurations, migrations, and maintaining a test environment.
Ensuring system uptime, providing multi-geo support, and improving customer and employee satisfaction.
Recommending technology upgrades and design improvements.
Monitoring compliance with SLAs and addressing skill gaps through training.
Required Technical Expertise:
Proficiency with networking hardware and software, including:
Routers and Switches (Cisco, Avaya/Extreme, Juniper).
WLAN Access Points and appliances (Cisco, Aruba).
Firewalls (Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet).
WAN optimization tools like Riverbed.
Load Balancers (F5) and network management tools (SolarWinds, Splunk).
Infoblox solutions for IPAM/DHCP/DNS.
Expert-level skills in troubleshooting and optimizing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP).
Extensive experience with Cisco Nexus switches, Juniper SRX series, and Fortinet devices.
Cloud technologies experience (AWS, Azure) is a plus.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 10+ years in network administration.
Industry certifications such as CCIE, CISSP, CISM, or ITIL v3/v4.
Proven skills in designing network solutions, business continuity, disaster recovery, and documentation.
Strong communication skills and experience with Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings.
