Senior Network Engineer | Hybrid in DC
Submit Candidate
Proper planning of upgrades and changes; perform code upgrades
Update documentation, procedures, diagrams, circuit IDs, etc.
Liaise with Network Services team and end-users on day-to-day issues
React to Network Monitoring platform alerts – identify, diagnose, and resolve network-related service problems
Coordinate with vendors (e.g., down circuit, equipment replacement)
Produce support and operational documentation
Develop deployment, testing, and rollback plans
Author How-To's
Work with ServiceNow tickets and ensure closure as per SLA
Strive for continuing education in the fields of networking and unified communications
Required:
Background in internetwork, LAN, and WAN, with a recent focus on Arista technologies
Automation skills (e.g., Python, Ansible, Git) are required
CloudVision-as-a-Service (CVaaS)
Expert in switching, routing, and troubleshooting concepts (e.g., BFP, Multicast, OSPF)
Thorough understanding of layer 2/layer 3 networking details, OSPF/BGP routing, VLANs, trunking, port-aggregation, static routing, upgrade processes
Experience with: Spine-leaf Architecture (EVPN-VXLAN and SD-WAN)
Knowledge of wiring, racking, cross connects
Knowledge of Palo Alto firewall & security concepts
Knowledge of cloud networking (AWS, VPC, Direct Connect/Transit Gateways)
