About the Job:
Sandy Spring Bank is hiring for an OnBase System Analyst. The OnBase System Analyst is responsible for the administration and support of the Bank’s OnBase platform and associated services including, but not limited to the image archive, check processing system, and remote deposit capture. This position requires maintaining proper configuration and access controls of all supporting business solutions in the areas of document and report management, workflow, imaging, and integration with third party business applications.  Execute the implementation of new products, features, and functionality for the platform and manage new software releases, upgrades, and hot fixes. Work with business line managers to fine-tune the platform to encourage usage, provide training, and promote seamless integration with other applications. Coordinate with vendors, Information Technology, and Information Security teams to identify and resolve system issues, bugs, and outages. Technical environment requires identification and resolution of complex  software and hardware issues without defined alternatives to include knowing when to escalate appropriately.

               

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

 

 Lead the administration and maintenance activities for the Bank’s OnBase platform which includes installing new software releases and system upgrades, evaluating, and installing patches or hot fixes, and conducting application/configuration migrations, refreshes, and restores. Collaborate with Information Technology and Information Security to determine requirements for the deployment of database, web, and application servers in a multi-instance environment. Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing throughout the year. Participate in project planning and offer application development solutions to ensure effective use of technology and business process to meet client needs.

Configure  reports for the COLD system from the core processor. Create cross-referencing to link documents to reports as requested. Monitor the system to ensure the integrity of the files. Collaborate closely with vendors and internal partners to test new report receipt and routing. Configure internal documents for the OnBase system. Set up imports of scanned documents received from third party vendors and applications. Import and configure daily auto-fill files for departments to scan documents. Configure document import processes (DIP files) using scripting language such as XML. Manage application lifecycle to include setting retention and data purge from system. Initiate investigations to ensure the optimal use within the organization of the OnBase systems including the best use of available options, and the development and administration of OnBase Workflow. Configure new OnBase webcalls and track usage to ensure appropriate licensing Investigate the use of third-party systems to integrate with OnBase, creating efficiencies within the organization. Proactively troubleshoot problems and work with Information Technology, core processor and vendors to resolve issues. Escalate issues to vendors and management as appropriate.

 

Assign appropriate rights to end-users and set up custom queries to enable users to extract data easily. Research end-user needs and make recommendations for improvements in efficiency using the system features. Provide end-user technical support for the application and training as required. Provide level two technical support for Remote Deposit Capture clients and the Commercial Banking Center. May be asked to assist with installs for new clients, upgrades, and regular support questions. Responsible for the administration of the Remote Capture application including new client setup, modification, and cancelation requests. Provide Treasury Management with expert knowledge of system to accommodate client custom requests.

 

Support special projects as assigned relating to the OnBase system. Proactively provide options and solutions as the subject matter expert. Must have knowledge of the processing workflow to appropriately represent the area in meetings and testing. Provide system administration and technical support of the Check System and related Image Processing modules. Assist with Image Processing as needed. Execute daily statement processing and notice printing within service level agreements as defined. Work with statement processing vendor to resolve issues with statements and files. Must have relevant knowledge working with SQL databases, .Net framework and scripting languages in HTML and XML.

 

Accurately maintain databases related to scanner tracking and Remote Deposit client information. Possess the ability to generate reporting from the database, as necessary. Assist with maintaining Image Procedure Manual for the bank. Work closely with the Training Department with the development of branch scanning procedure changes, documentation, and additional training, as necessary.

Required Skills:
A minimum of 3-5 years work experience in bank imaging and/or check processing operations and/or application administration is required. Extensive experience with the installation, upgrade, enhancement, and support of large-scale and varied administrative applications including Hyland’s OnBase software.OnBase Certified System Administrator (OCSA) certification required or must be obtained within one year of hire. Work requires a technical level of knowledge of imaging and check systems either through work experience or training.

Ability to triage, troubleshoot, and resolve OnBase issues reported by users. Understand and support processes and OnBase applications across multiple business areas. Must be able to use knowledge of system structure and abilities to determine the most effective solution when implementing or refining processes.

 

Ability to develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of OnBase administration tasks including security, roles, users, managing errors, and installation. Ability to maintain proper configuration and access control across environments.

 

Position requires regular internal and external contacts requiring independent judgment regarding system options to recommend and evaluate work procedures. Work with all levels of individuals in the organization and  function as a liaison with vendor support staff to resolve complex issues. Must be able to develop and adhere to procedures and project plans, and to present formal training internally.

 

Highly motivated and self-directed with strong interpersonal and oral/written communication skills. Experience working in and contributing to a team-oriented, collaborative environment that values relationships among co-workers.

 

     6. Experience or knowledge with SQL scripting, .Net framework, scripting languages in HTML and XML, OnBase API             and OnBase Workflow a plus. Must be affluent working with OnBase webcalls.

 

SPECIFIC PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

 

Position requires reasonable mobility in and around work area and the ability to operate standard office equipment, personal computer systems, and telephone systems. Out-of-town travel required to attend training classes for up to a week at a time. System upgrades and enhancements require evening and weekend work.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS:

 

Normal office environment where there is almost no discomfort due to temperature, dust, noise, or other disagreeable elements.

 

Work includes little or no potential exposure to hazardous conditions such as robbery.
