Overview:
FTE: 1.0
Shift Hours: 8:00AM-4:30PM
Days of Week: MONDAY-FRIDAY
Supports the outpatient and inpatient organization by managing all Infection Prevention and Control Data. Includes uploading data to the national NHSN/CDC and other regulatory agencies. Assists clinicians and administrators with the identification and realization of clinical and service improvement opportunities to improve patient outcomes and optimize the patient experience in a cost effective manner. Uploads and reports all required NHSN data and keeps IC staff, epidemiologists and nursing units aware of the changes in NHSN definitions and requirements. Educates and implements training of the IC department and physicians in the changes of the NHSN definitions. Ensures contracts and billing are paid timely with supporting documentation.
Qualifications:
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
A bachelor's degree in a health related field required
Requires skills in analyzing databases and preparing reports
Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access
Must possess sound oral and written communication skills including clear articulation of ideas, proper grammar and spelling and poise and professional appearance
Attention to detail is crucial and follow-up is necessary
Licensure/Certification/Registration: None indicated
Motor Vehicle Operator Designation: Employees in this position will not operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose
