Job Description : 

The Cloud Engineer Services Team is looking for a seasoned IaC/Pipeline professional to assist in our efforts to migration application from existing data centers into AWS GovCloud. In this role, you will use your Terraform and AWS service expertise to integrate highly scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud solutions that address customer needs while reflecting cloud principles and best practices. As a member of the Cloud Engineer Service’s Chapter, you will work directly within an Application Development Team to implement blueprints/solutions which establish a foundation for resilient and effective environments. Key Responsibilities · Engage with architects, developers and technical support teams to achieve success in deployment of Cloud application services within a managed service GovCloud environment. · Analyze, define and document requirements for data, workflow, and logical processes · Analyze and translate business, information and technical requirements to create patterns for solutions that integrate across applications, systems and platforms to achieve business objectives. · Assess foundational services, integration services, cloud operations and management capabilities. · Support preparation of documentation including application designs, Assessments, Security Management, Implementation Plans and post implementation documentation. · Lead by example, demonstrating high performance in the areas of customer satisfaction, collaboration, teamwork, and reliability. · Participate in the establishment of local standards, patterns, and practices for cloud integration, while providing input and influence to broader organizational standards and initiatives. · Responsible for the planning and engineering of an organization's systems infrastructure. Includes the implementation and design of hardware and software. Monitors the performance of systems. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. Works under general supervision. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience with => 3 years of relevant work experience.

Qualification:

4+ years hands-on IT solution delivery engineering experience with cloud services including planning, development, migration and integration of applications and services from on premises infrastructure to cloud based platforms

1+ years of interpretive programing experience such as Python (preferred) or Go

1+ years shell scripting, Bash preferred

2+ years of for hands-on IaC/CaC contributions leveraging Terraform (preferred) and/or CloudFormation

2+ years of automated application deployment via automated pipelines (GitLab preferred) leveraging Blue/Green or Carney deployment practices

Solid understanding of performance/load and functional automated testing practices; automated testing experience a plus.

Solid understanding of the evaluation of application performance management utilization metrics (CPU, memory, garbage collection, etc...)

Ansible experience/awareness a plus

Solid understanding of the DevOps Infinity Loop a plus

Experience with enterprise public cloud platforms such as AWS and Microsoft Azure; including AWS networking, computing, and security services (e.g. VPC, EC2, AWS Config, AWS Inspector, Guard Duty)

Experience with CI and Source Code Management tooling (e.g. Git, GitLab) utilizing standard branching strategies

Flexibility to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity, and rapid change.

Comprehensive knowledge pertaining to concepts and principles in functional area. General knowledge of department/business lines, Reserve Banks, and / or System operations, policies, procedures, and technologies a plus.

Communications: Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, creativity, attention to detail, and oral and written communications skills tailored for the intended audience.
