Skillset / Experience:
INSPYR Solutions is seeking a Remote Terminal Unit (RTU) Support Analyst for one of its oil and gas clients in the Houston area.
Responsibilities for this role include:
The primary focus of this position is to provide expert measurement support with special attention to the remote terminal unit (RTU) used to measure natural gas at points of custody and assist in retrieving quality and accurate data for business users.
This position must be able to provide relevant and expert assistance relevant to the Measurement of RTUs and associated equipment deployed in the field.
RTU's support includes Control Wave, Auto Exec, Auto-Flex, Autopilot, Bristol 33xx, Benchmark, and Floboss.
This position interacts with Field Technicians, Regional Measurement Engineers, and Business Partners to ensure accurate measurement of natural gas volumes, adherence to safe and efficient operations, and data integrity to customers and various business users.
This position must provide quality technical documents.
Job Qualifications:
5+ years' experience in natural gas measurement
Expert-level technical knowledge of natural gas measurement calculations
Expert level technical knowledge of various natural gas measurement meters, including orifice, rotary, turbine, Coriolis, and ultrasonic.
Expert-level knowledge of various communication protocols used to communicate between an RTU and the metering equipment as well as bringing the data into a centralized database for business consumption (SCADA).
Expert-level knowledge of the software used to communicate with or operate RTUs.
Proficient with Microsoft Office software.
Very good interpersonal skills with and for supporting field Tech Staff, team members, data customers, and management.
Deep working knowledge of various software or systems that interface with or use Measurement data to safely and efficiently operate or control the natural gas pipeline.
Developing and implementing test plans for new equipment or improvements to current equipment.
Providing Measurement Technicians with all levels of training on the use of RTUs and associated equipment.
Providing technical and instructional documentation to assist the Measurement Technicians in their work.
An expert-level ability to work with field personnel over the phone or on-site, if necessary, to analyze and resolve difficult and perplexing issues.
Work as a Measurement and operational liaison for business users to assist with data or interface needs.
