Data Warehouse/ETL/BI/API Developer
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Data Warehouse/ETL/BI/API Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data integration solutions, ensuring data consistency, quality, and integrity across multiple systems. You will work on optimizing and stabilizing ETL processes, developing data warehouse components, and providing critical support for data-related issues. Experience with SQL Server SSIS, SSRS, and API development is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Integration Development:
Optimize, develop, and maintain integration solutions using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and ETL frameworks (BIDS).
Connect legacy data stores to the data warehouse.
Data Warehouse Development:
Develop, maintain, and optimize components related to the data warehouse, including SSIS packages, stored procedures, and views.
Use best practices methodologies to create robust data warehouse components.
Data Conversion:
Perform data conversion from OLTP systems to the data warehouse using tools like SSIS and Azure Data Factory.
Ensure data consistency and integrity by identifying and analyzing data discrepancies and quality issues.
Documentation:
Build and maintain thorough documentation of the data architecture and data movement processes across different layers.
ETL Process Stabilization:
Ensure the stabilization and high performance of existing ETL processes.
Develop and deploy ETL job workflows with reliable error/exception handling and rollback mechanisms.
Troubleshooting and Support:
Troubleshoot complex data-related issues and provide support to production environments.
Reporting and BI:
Utilize SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) for reporting purposes.
Experience with Power BI is preferred, and knowledge of Crystal Reports will be beneficial.
API Development:
Develop and maintain APIs for integration purposes.
Manual Testing:
May be involved with manual testing of data processes and applications.
Additional Duties:
Perform other related duties as required.
Required Skills & Experience:
Strong experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and data warehouse development.
Proficiency in writing stored procedures, views, and other database objects.
Familiarity with ETL frameworks (BIDS).
Experience with SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services).
Knowledge of Power BI is preferred.
Experience with Crystal Reports is beneficial.
Familiarity with API development for integration purposes is a plus.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Understanding of data conversion from OLTP to data warehouse structures.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
