Title IT – Network engineer (Hybrid)
Location – Washington , DC
Duration – 12 months (with possible extension)
Job Description: The main function of a network engineer is to determine user requirements and design specifications for computer networks. A typical network engineer is responsible for planning and implementing network upgrades.
Job Responsibilities:
• Provide onsite and remote IT support for office relocations, consolidations, renovations, and space reductions.
• Provide network configuration support including maintaining a telecom circuit inventory, including addresses and configuration information for all sites and services.
• Working together and in partnership with WAN and Internet services providers for circuit ordering, provisioning, activations, upgrades, maintenance, and management.
• Provide project management for coordination and management for IT office installations and relocations.
• Attend space meetings to support regions with IT projects.
• Coordinate and support network activation and equipment installation.
• Monitor and maintain cooling systems installed in all Datacom closets containing network equipment throughout the country.
• Ability to provide after-hours support as needed.
Additional Qualification (Desired), but not required):
- Familiarity with O365 tools, Sharepoint and ServiceNow
Education/Experience:
• 1-2 years experience required.
